A Star Goes Missing by Lindsey Varley

New for 2017

The approximate running time of this play is 30 minutes.

It’s Christmas Eve and a family are decorating their Christmas tree – but they can’t find the star that goes on top of the tree? What to do? Call the Christmas Fairy of course! Lots of singing of popular Christmas songs by a choir, who also take turns with the narration. Particularly suitable for younger children.

The Christmas Fairy calls four fairies and an elf to go and find the star for the tree. They visit Santa, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Mary Berry (yes she's cooking away for Christmas!)(Schools outside the UK may want to substitute a famous cook from their own country for this part), Snowflakes and Icicles. It’s a feast for the eyes and ears and the audience will love it.

As many as 44 speaking parts, if you wish, although many lines of narration can be doubled up if fewer children are available. It’s a very flexible play. Unlimited choir and many non-speaking dancing snowflakes and icicles.
