Plays for Years 5/6/7

The plays in this category are all adventures featuring pirates; genies; sorceresses; kings; knights; outlaws; nursery rhyme characters with attitude and much, much more!

Leading parts in these plays tend to be substantial, which is why we have created them for children over ten years of age. Having said that, we do, however, find that they are very popular with adults (teachers, youth leaders) who have, themselves, performed these plays to the children in their classes or groups.

Some plays are exciting - swashbuckling even - as in the case of Treasure Island - and all of them are comedies. Some have songs but others do not. Some, like Historical Laughter and The Magic Flute, are also listed in our Curriculum Support category because they are a fun way to supplement the history curriculum as it presently exists in most primary schools.

In short, there is a great deal of choice in this category of Playstage plays. To read the plot synopsis and other details of each play, please click on each title displayed below.
