Aladdin written by Year 6 pupils

£17.00 incl. zero VAT

The approximate running time of this play is 20 minutes.

This one is a real hoot. Aladdin lives with his mother, batty washerwoman Widow Twankey and his sister (didn’t see that one coming did you?), the lazy Sapphire. There’s a lovely scene with a washing machine which should have the audience rolling about in the aisles – not to mention Widow Twankey’s ardent pursuit of a palace guard, who has to go to the ends of the earth to escape from her!

Description

There are no songs suggested for this play but feel free to add your own.

There are two genies – the genie of the ring and the genie of the lamp; a wicked uncle, Abanazer and a lovely Princess. Oh, and plenty of opportunity to create a lively bazaar outside the Palace gates. This version of Aladdin is the Arabian version.

As with all our plays, there are full production notes that give advice on scenery, prop and costume-making.
