Well, what can we say about this tried and tested pantomime story? Well, there’s a dog in it, for a start. You don’t get that in many versions of Cinderella! And many boys (or men) have had great fun playing the Ugly Sisters – Grizabella and Euphemia.
Description
There are no songs suggested for this play but feel free to add your own.
Cinderella, of course, is the put-upon stepsister who is made to do all the chores, wear rags and live in the kitchen. When invitations come for all the women in the house to attend the Prince’s ball, Cinderella is told not to be ridiculous and just help everyone else to get ready. But, of course, she has a Fairy Godmother, who magically transforms Cinderella into the mysterious belle of the ball.
As with all our plays, there are full production notes that give advice on scenery, prop and costume-making.
