The approximate running time of this play is 45 minutes.
Fairy Tales nearly always have happy endings, don’t they? A group of villains – The Evil Queen, Jafar, Malificent, Cruella de Vil and King Rat decide that they have had enough of this tradition and, led by Cruella, they cast a spell which means that the people of Pantoland find that their lives and traditional stories are taking a strange turn for the worse!
Description
Well, it all starts with the police turning up to arrest Jack (of Beanstalk fame) for theft after the Giant lodged a complaint about Jack stealing his property! Well, Jack’s mother and the villagers are confused. This isn’t the way the story is supposed to end! Similarly, Sleeping Beauty gets a bad case of insomnia, which means she can’t get to sleep at night and is perpetually tired during the day! Then Cinderella goes to the Ball and finds the Prince is a self-obsessed airhead, who is completely unappealing. And so it goes on. Story after story doesn’t end happily ever after. What can be done?
A minimum of 30 parts (could be less with doubling – could be more if you add in extra VILLAGERS and people at the PRINCE’s Ball).
