Little Mouse and the Starry Night by Helen Nelson

£20.00 incl. zero VAT

The approximate running time of this play is 25 minutes.

Little Mouse is awoken from his sleep by some strange visitors arriving at the stable in Bethlehem, where he lives. A man and his wife and their donkey. This very sweet play has rhyming narration but most of the play is in mime, which makes it perfect for little ones, very shy children, children with speech or hearing impairment or other disabilities. The narration is apportioned between several characters but can easily be performed by one adult or a couple of older, confident children who could read the narration.

As it stands, there are 8 speaking parts but this can easily be changed to have as few as one or as many as you wish. It is an entirely flexible play.

Approximate running time 25 minutes but this can be shortened if some of the carols are left out.

The carols/songs included in the script are:

  • O Little Town of Bethlehem
  • Little Donkey
  • Once in Royal David’s City
  • Away in a Manger
  • We Three Kings of Orient Are
  • Love Shone Down
