Hey, it’s a dangerous business being in a nursery rhyme. There are missing sheep, stolen pigs and serious accidents. In a tribute to the TV programme “Crimewatch”, an assortment of presenters, daft policemen and women and even dafter nursery rhyme characters, take us through the business of solving crimes in Nursery Rhyme Land. Be careful out there – it’s a wolf eat pigs world.
Description
Inspector Claude Clueless is on the case – well, several cases actually. There are missing sheep, as we said, but also missing meatballs (are they the sheep? Let’s hope not!) Nursery rhymes as you’ve never seen them before! In the context of a well-known television show, share with us as we examine, unravel and reveal the true meanings behind our traditional rhymes, riddles and stories. Sing along with the songs and try to solve the crimes as you watch in amazement as Detective Inspector Claude Clueless and his colleagues gather the clues, and piece together quite startling and unexpected explanations. Lots of songs. 30 speaking parts. Non-speaking/singing could be added. Running time of approximately 45 minutes.
As with all our plays, there are full production notes that give advice on scenery, props and costumes.
