The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny by Lynn Brittney
£21.00 incl. zero VAT
The approximate running time of this play is 30 minutes.
Mrs Rabbit sends her children off to play with the reminder that they must not go into Mr McGregor’s garden because their father was caught by Mr McGregor and made into a rabbit pie! But naughty Peter is bored and wants an adventure so he disobeys his mother. But he is chased by Mr McGregor, loses his coat and shoes and finally gets home feeling cold, wet and sick. The next day he asks his friend Benjamin to go back to the garden to help him retrieve his clothes.
Description
A charming reworking of two of Beatrix Potter’s stories which do, in fact, belong together. Peter and Benjamin meet birds, mice, a scarecrow, a cat and have several hair raising adventures as a result of their naughtiness. Peter realises that he is very, very frightened by the garden and vows never to be disobedient again.
There are seven simple songs in this play, which are sung by a chorus/choir that we suggest are in Victorian costume and in front of or beside the stage. As there are only 15 speaking parts, this gives you unlimited scope to use a large number of children in the chorus.
Running time is approximately 30 minutes.
As with all our plays, there are full production notes that give advice on scenery, props and costumes.
