Wind In The Willows by Stewart Auty

£27.00 incl. zero VAT

The approximate running time of this play is 1 hour.

This is a reasonably faithful adaptation of the book with a few little additions by Stewart Auty. There are, of course, some excellent jokes, some additional characters (in this version Mole is escaping the annual chore of spring cleaning and being nagged by his wife and there is a Frog who bravely substitutes himself for Toad in a daring jail break!) Apart from those little deviations, most of it is entirely recognisable as the tale we all know and love.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO SONGS IN THIS PLAY.

Description

So Mole meets Ratty and he is introduced to the above-ground world of the Riverbank. Feckless Toad is obsessed with driving cars and lands himself in trouble when he “borrows” someone else’s vehicle. Toad’s friends – Moley, Ratty, Badger, Foxy, Otter and Froggy (told you there were some extra characters!) stage a daring jail break to enable Toad to be part of the plot to reclaim Toad Hall, which has been taken over by evil Stoats and Weasels. All ends well and it’s great fun!

As with all our plays, there are full production notes that give advice on scenery, costume and prop-making.
